B254 Nashville, TN 37215 Dear Shell, First off let me state that I have been a loyal customer for 3 years to the station in question at 4040 Hillsboro Rd., Nashville, TN due to the fact that it is located next to my office. Even if the gas prices there are the highest in Tennessee convenience wins out with me in the daily war with Nashville, traffic. That having been said I also want to mention that we have all been aware of the busted pipe fiasco that has affected the southeast leaving the majority food marts of all the major companies with out gasoline. As the pipe finally got fixed gas started to gradually show back-up in Nashville. Exxon Tiger Marts started to gas to their stations along with others except the Shell stations still had none. Well this not what I complaining about because I am aware there is a system (which I know very little about) for how gas is dispersed to different stations due to certain allotments previously established. Well the Hillsboro station finally got its pumps re-supplied and I was delighted to pull in after work and fill up until I noticed a little piece of paper taped to the pump stating that the only had regular gas. I usually get the mid grade gas but no biggey,….regular will suffice. Big mistake there because my car ran like a piece of S@#$% after using that gas. I doubt that it was even Shell gasoline that I bought. This leads me to my complaint that occurred today 10/28/2016. I pulled into get gas and some other items and to my delight it appeared all pumps and grades of gas were working. So I entered my Fuel Rewards card,…..then my debit card and pass code and the was directed a usually to remove pump,…push grade ,…and begin fueling. I chose the V-Power high grade which I like to use from time to time and I kicked my me out stating “:Thank You for,….bla bla bla”….. “would you like a receipt “ So no luck on gas. A man on the other side of the pump happened to stick his head out and asked me if I Had read the 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper taped to a pole? I said no and he proceeded to tell me that it stated something to the effect that “Due to the gas shortage the gas we are selling is NOT Shell gasoline. The stranger was laughing and telling me he used to own a Shell Station and if he had ever been caught selling NON-Shell gasoline he would lost his station. So if that is the case how come this Shell station is selling cheap gas that I had to experience the fill-up before. Then to top it all off the manger has come out and asked me if I needed any help. I stated “yes I do but your pumps are broken” “Oh he replied,. we only have regular and it’s not Shell gasoline.” I replied “You mean I just spent 20 mins of my time trying to pump V-Power gas and you don’t have any. Where in the heck does it state any where here that you only have regular. He just looked back at me with this Goofy grin because there was not one sign or note on any pump stating that was the case. Each pumped should have been clearly labeled stating “Regular Gas Only”,…no wait a second it should state “Regular Cheap Gas Only” next line “Not a Shell Oil Co. Product. I will never go to another Shell Station again because I won’t no for sure what kind of gas I am purchasing and I have had it with the idiots a 4040 Hillsboro Pike. Thank You for your time,…..
